Georges Rhyn always worked from real life. He loved the outdoors and took pride in painting flowers. Each of these large paintings was a huge task, as it took days to complete. Rhyn was persistent. He drew and painted every single flower petal with precision and with empathy. He deliberately treated each flower as though it was to be a painting of its own.
