Tatossian would spend months living in Santorini, and for, at a time regularly returning to study and paint the light and architecture of the Aegean islands. The atmosphere in this work is geometric and stylized. The message of stability, tranquility and awe, appears to consume this work, as the sun shines on the dark primitive rocks of lava.
