Following in the footsteps of many of the worlds painters, Rhyn was infatuated with the phenomenon called Venice. Apart from the pastel colour tones and inviting light there is water and light reflections. The buildings are old and graceful. Domes contrast with rectangles. Squares compete with circles horizontal and vertical lines. Rhyn is conscious and combines it all in this well constructed view of Venice.
